Santiago Correa - Head Chef

Leading our amazing kitchen team is our Head Chef, Santiago Correa. Santi has been with us since 2007. He has had extensive Cafe/Restaurant experience - including Rosehip Cafe in Parnell (an award winning Auckland cafe where the Prime Minister has been seen to breakfast many times!).

Santi's Argentinian flair is complemented by a hardworking and dedicated team in the kitchen.
Their commitment, enthusiasm and general hard work have played a critical part in making Alimento the local favourite it is today.

Carly & Cameron Ward and Janet & Ian Walker - Your Hosts

It's all about family at Alimento! Carly & Cameron are your vibrant Front of House hosts and Carly's parents, Janet and Ian - partner them and take care of the admin side of the business.

Carly comes to Alimento via previous cafe ownership and is passionate about continuing to keep Alimento at the forefront of premier cafes in the Bay - while Cameron's product management expertise has proven vital in his management of Alimento's growing catering business.

Keeping it in the family is important to us all and this includes Cameron's sister, Megan, an accomplished professional artist - who's fabulous artwork adorns the cafe walls and also forms a major part of our blackboard frieze. Carly's brother-in-law is Matt Yearbook - a well known local musician who we have been lucky enough to have playing on occasion at Alimento.

We are all dedicated to offering an inspired cafe experience for our customers and feel honoured to be part of their community.
